Job Title:

HCM Functional Consultant - Payroll Expert

Role Description:
  • Lead or participate in comprehensive implementation and support projects for Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud, focusing on US Payroll.
  • Analyze business requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and translate them into functional configurations.
  • Configure, test, and deploy Oracle HCM modules, specifically Payroll, Core HR, and Absence Management, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Perform system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and support go-live activities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Assist in post-production support and payroll run validations, including balancing, reconciling, and auditing payroll processes to maintain accuracy.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and test inbound and outbound integrations with third-party systems (benefits, tax vendors, time & labor).
  • Develop functional design documents, test scripts, SOPs, and training materials for end users, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
  • Maintain compliance with US federal, state, and local tax regulations in payroll processing, minimizing risk and ensuring regulatory adherence.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and Oracle technical teams, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle HCM Cloud Functional Consultant, with a proven track record of success.
  • Full lifecycle implementation experience of Oracle Fusion HCM US Payroll module, with a deep understanding of US payroll rules and taxation.
  • Functional knowledge of Core HR, Absence Management, Time & Labor, and Workforce Compensation, with the ability to design payroll elements and fast formulas.
  • Proficiency in creating Reports using OTBI/BIP and working with HDL templates, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, or related field, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
  • Oracle Cloud HCM Certification (Payroll or Core HR) to demonstrate expertise and commitment to professional development.
  • Experience working in multi-country environments with Change Management, Data Conversion (HDL/FBL), and Security Roles setup, with a focus on scalability and adaptability.
  • Familiarity with other HCM modules like Benefits, Performance Management, and Talent Management, with a keen eye for innovation and improvement.
