Solar Project Manager Position

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage the execution of solar power projects from site.

  • Familiarity with solar PV project components such as solar modules, inverters, cables, module mounting structures, and accessories is required.
  • Understanding of the function and role of all components in a solar PV project is necessary.
  • Ability to plan and schedule solar PV projects with detailed execution plans and timeframes is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in site management of solar PV projects. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure are also required.

The job requires flexibility to be deputed for short periods in other geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Project Planning & Management:
    • Familiarity or comfort with solar PV project components such as solar PV modules, inverters, cables, module mounting structures, and accessories is required.
    • Understanding of the function and role of all components in a solar PV project is necessary.
    • Ability to plan and schedule solar PV projects with detailed execution plans and timeframes is essential.
  • Safety Management:
    • Knowledge of HIRA and other safety methodologies involved in on-site project execution is required.
    • Preparation of safety documents and submission/approval of such documents with client-side safety managers is necessary.
  • Billing/Paperwork/Material Certifications:
    • Create delivery challans as and when materials arrive at site and get DC/other inward documentation certified as inward materials.
    • Share certified documentation with accounts/admin/sales teams in head office.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in site management of solar PV projects is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of electrical networks and solar power project design/execution is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
