Our organization is seeking a seasoned Design Lead to assume responsibility for the design aspects of solar PV power plants and power distribution projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design engineers must deliver engineering drawings and documents within stipulated timelines
  • The Design Lead will be responsible for reviewing drawings by junior design engineers, checking design and sizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment, and obtaining approvals from clients or their representatives
  • Vendor deliverables related to engineering will also be reviewed by the successful candidate
  • Multiple tasks must be managed effectively and delivered on time
  • Estimating and planning man-hour requirements will be an essential skill required
  • Coordination with multiple disciplines will be necessary to ensure inter-departmental checks are in place
  • Support and clarifications will be provided to site execution teams as needed
  • Equipment from finalized vendors will be inspected after submission of validation documents
  • Design and requirements clarification will be provided to site execution teams
  • Inputs for project details (soil reports, boundary coordinates, topo surveys, etc.) will be collected from clients and section heads

Technical Expertise:

The Design Lead should possess technical expertise in civil and structural activities including control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads, and drainage, outdoor steel structures, and miscellaneous works related to solar power plants. Vendor engineering documents can be reviewed with respect to civil and structural design.
