Lead Data Scientist Role Overview

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will lead a team of data scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to develop advanced machine learning and statistical models. They will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and create data science strategies aligned with those goals.

About the Job:
  • Design, develop, and implement complex machine learning and statistical models to solve business problems.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis, data cleansing, and feature engineering to prepare datasets for analysis.
  • Fine-tune and optimize large language models like Open AI and Gemini AI.
  • Promote the use of vector databases like Pinecone and Vertex AI to manage embeddings at scale.
  • Deploy and monitor models on cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP.
Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop data science strategies aligned with those objectives.
  2. Develop predictive/prescriptive models, algorithms, and prototypes to support business decisions.
  3. Communicate findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
  4. Play an active role in software development processes.
Requirements:
  • A B.Tech / M.Tech / MBA from a top-tier Institute preferably in a quantitative subject.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in applied Machine Learning, AI, and analytics with a proven track record of developing AI/LLM models and algorithms.
  • A master's or bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in scripting languages like Python, R, SQL, NoSQL, Spark with ML tools & Cloud Technology (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expertise in Python libraries such as numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, tensorflow, scrapy, BERT, etc.
