Job Title: Database Engineer

As a Database Engineer at a global technology firm, you will be working in a team that manages and performs technical control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement quality control functionality for business rules (logic) in the database.
  • Design, build, develop, and manage pipelines using database technologies.
  • Understand database technologies and migrate business rules from one DB technology to another.
  • Collaborate closely with the Application and Databricks team members to develop robust data solutions supporting security initiatives.
  • Implement, monitor, and optimize data processes ensuring adherence to security and data governance best practices.
  • Implement monitoring and logging processes using Azure database capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues ensuring data quality and accessibility.
  • Document procedures and workflows associated with data pipelines contributing to best practices.
  • Share knowledge about latest database trends and techniques.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the system identify possible security risks and implement preventive measures.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Excellent command of English.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing database driven applications and pipeline development using Azure PostgreSQL and SQL Server Database.
  • Strong understanding of security principles in the context of data.
  • Ability to write debug and optimize data transformations and datasets.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing ETL solutions using Azure Database or similar technologies.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD set for database objects release management.
