Lead Data Privacy Specialist

Job Overview:

Seeking an experienced Lead Data Privacy Specialist to spearhead data privacy initiatives across diverse industries, ensuring seamless alignment with global regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Design, implement, and oversee data privacy programs to embed privacy-by-design principles into client processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop, review, and enhance robust privacy policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, Legal, and Risk functions to ensure end-to-end privacy compliance in technology and business processes.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 5-12 years of experience in data privacy, information security, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations (GDPR, PDPB/DPDP Act, HIPAA, CCPA).
  • Proven track record of successfully leading data privacy projects and teams.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 27701, ISO 27001, and other relevant privacy/security frameworks.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CIPT / CIPP-E / CISM / CISA or equivalent privacy/security certifications.
