Digital full-spectrum test engineers drive innovation in the development of complex electronic systems. In this pivotal role, they develop and implement digital full-spectrum test architectures for application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) and system-on-chip (SoC) designs.

Key responsibilities include designing and inserting scan chains, boundary scan (JTAG), memory built-in self-test (MBIST), logic built-in self-test (LBIST), and other test structures to ensure comprehensive testing.

To guarantee seamless integration of these features, DFT engineers collaborate closely with RTL and physical design teams. This involves developing and validating test patterns using automated test pattern generation (ATPG) tools for stuck-at, transition, and path delay faults.

Additionally, DFT engineers perform fault simulation and coverage analysis to optimize test quality and identify areas for improvement. They also support silicon bring-up and debug of test-related issues, working alongside ATE teams to develop test programs and support production testing.
