Role Summary:

The Apparel Buyer is responsible for developing and executing a product assortment strategy that aligns with brand identity and drives sales growth. This role involves trend forecasting, vendor management, pricing strategy, and sales analysis.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assortment Planning: Create and manage a product mix that reflects current trends and customer preferences across all sales channels.
  2. Buying Decisions: Make data-driven purchasing choices, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  3. Pricing Strategy: Develop competitive pricing models in line with market trends and financial goals.
  4. Sales Analysis: Regularly review sales data, adjust strategies, and report findings to senior management.
  5. Trend Forecasting: Collaborate with design teams to stay ahead of fashion trends and identify new product opportunities.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, and other teams to ensure seamless product launches and availability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of apparel buying experience in retail.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and trend forecasting skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and buying/planning software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
