Job Role

Cooking involves preparing ingredients for meal preparation, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Fresh fruits and vegetables are washed and peeled. Ingredients are weighed, measured, and mixed according to recipes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cook meals as per recipe guidelines, maintaining quality standards, presentation, and food preparation checklist.
  • Prepare cold foods, operating various kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Check if cooked foods meet quality standards.

Monitor the quality of food being prepared, set up and break down workstations, and serve food in proper portions onto suitable receptacles.

Additional Tasks:
  • Wash and sanitize the kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  • Verify that temperature settings for appliances and food are correct.

Follow company policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, or safety concerns to a manager. Complete necessary training and certifications for job safety.
