Job Title: Navigation and Integrated Systems Expert

Role:

The Navigation Integrated Systems Engineer is the go-to point of contact for vessels, fleet superintendents, partners, and departments regarding maintenance of navigation integrated systems. They implement or monitor actions to meet technical and regulatory needs and work with partners to ensure operational condition.

Responsibilities and Duties:

To comply with international rules and regulations, you must:

• Ensure all duties are in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies.

• Propose a continuous performance improvement plan that will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis.

• Monitor or organize surveys, health checks, and maintenance of navigation integrated systems and provide support to vessels and shore teams including risk assessment for new situations or planned interventions.

• Manage vessel repairs within time and budget by sourcing best solutions with key partners.

• Support vessel compliance with flag and class requirements related to navigation integrated systems.

• Provide feedback and challenge repair proposals to ensure operational availability.

• Contribute actively to the issuance of experience feedback and lessons learned from vessel navigation integrated systems to improve reliability.

• Maintain an up-to-date database of radio and navigation systems onboard and discuss optimal lifecycle of navigation integrated systems with expert teams.

• Evaluate and assess regularly partners and key vendors.

• Prepare annual budgets for assigned vessels in consultation with experts/superintendents/vessel managers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering.

• 3 years' experience in support of vessels preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Good knowledge of integrated radio and navigation systems, OT networking, and cybersecurity controls.

• Skills to provide best support to vessels and shore teams.

• Troubleshooting, initiative, flair to solve issues, and curiosity for new technologies.

• Project management skills, competencies in various software programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Power Query.

• Fluency in English.

• Excellent communication and analytical skills, ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
