Job Title: Senior Tax Manager

Job Description:

As a senior tax manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's tax strategy, compliance, planning, risk management, and reporting. This involves ensuring adherence to Indian tax laws and international regulations (where applicable), optimizing tax efficiency, and supporting business initiatives through proactive tax advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely preparation and review of income tax and GST returns, as well as accurate filing of all tax forms.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance objectives are met.
  • Facilitate process improvement in company tax procedures, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce liabilities.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for corporate and state taxes.
  • Manage tax team members as they prepare components of the company's income tax return and other tax documents.
  • Plan for and develop the overall return calendar, coordinating timing and inputs with the tax team.
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
  • Manage and facilitate income tax audits, preparing responses and creating schedules as needed.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicating their effects proactively to management and stakeholders, and creating strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as a tax manager.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge and working experience in the e-commerce industry.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian direct and indirect tax laws, compliance, and procedures for companies.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as interact effectively with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives.
