We are seeking a skilled Java Production Support Engineer to maintain and enhance our production systems. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, who are passionate about solving real-time production issues while contributing to development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solving Critical Issues: Use technical and analytical skills to resolve critical customer/field technical escalations from various teams.
  • Collaborative Development: Work alongside the Engineering team to develop solutions for customer-reported problems.
  • Daily Updates: Participate in daily scrum meetings to update the development team about ongoing escalations and their statuses.
  • Escalation Management: Own highly technical customer escalations with clear expectations and timelines.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Build tools and techniques to help with Root Cause Analysis using available data on platforms and code bases.
  • Troubleshooting: Reduce time to resolve product issues by fixing them as needed after RCA.
  • Issue Reporting: Provide timely updates to issue reporting teams to improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Backlog Requirements: Collaborate with Product management teams to identify and implement backlog requirements that add value to products.
Required Expertise:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 6+ years' experience in technical product support type roles, preferably in escalations teams
  • L3 Escalation Experience: Experience working as L3 escalation engineer taking care of complex customer issues
  • Java Development: Software development experience using Java technologies
  • Database Knowledge: Good understanding and working experience of MySQL/MariaDB/RDBMS and database concepts
  • Microservice Architecture: Good understanding and working experience of Microservice architecture environments on AWS
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Experience troubleshooting and helping with root cause analysis for customer/support/field reported issues
  • Soft Skills: Passion, curiosity, integrity, and outstanding attention to detail while performing tasks
  • Team Player: A team player who works well in collaborative environments
