Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the mechanical maintenance function of an automotive sheet metal manufacturing facility.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules for production and utility equipment, ensuring maximum machine uptime and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of various machinery, including fabrication machines, welding lines, paint shop equipment, assembly lines, and utility systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning & Execution
  • Plan, develop, and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of equipment, including fabrication machines, welding lines, paint shop equipment, and assembly lines.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, guide, and supervise a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians across multiple shifts.
  • Conduct skill upgradation programs for maintenance staff on new technologies.
Continuous Improvement & Cost Control
  • Apply Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles, Kaizen, 5S, and root cause analysis (RCA) to reduce repetitive breakdowns.
  • Drive automation upgrades and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Optimize maintenance costs while improving machine reliability.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for pressure vessels, boilers, electrical systems, and environment.
  • Maintain documentation for audits.
  • Enforce strict adherence to plant safety practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical exposure preferred).
  • 15–20 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in auto/auto-component or sheet metal industry, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Hands-on exposure to robotic welding, paint shops, CNC fabrication equipment, and utilities.
