Senior User Researcher Role

We are seeking a seasoned User Researcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting user research within a UX team for software/web-based products.

Job Description:

The Senior User Researcher will be responsible for planning and conducting evaluative research, synthesizing and communicating the right information, defining and measuring success, and applying expertise and knowledge of research methodologies to product and service design.

The role will involve working with cross-functional teams, including design, analytics, product management, customer support, marketing, and sales, to formulate and address research questions. The successful candidate will also independently plan, execute, and analyze research across product or program areas.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's and/or master's degree in the study of user experience, design, research, business, or related fields, and 4 to 19 years' experience conducting user research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct evaluative research, such as card sort, tree testing, usability, heuristics evaluations, and generative research efforts.
  • Synthesize and communicate research findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Define and measure success by creating testable hypotheses and using research findings to support, challenge, and innovate products.
  • Apply expertise and knowledge of research methodologies, human factors, the user-centered design process, and statistics to product and service design.
  • Work collaboratively with design, analytics, product management, customer support, marketing, and sales teams to formulate and address research questions.
  • Independently plan, execute, and analyze research across product or program areas.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in the study of user experience, design, research, business, or related fields.
  • 4 to 19 years' experience conducting user research within a UX team for software/web-based products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and experience working on enterprise software.
