Position Summary

Job Title: Head of Sports and Wellness Initiatives

As the Head of Sports and Wellness Initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the institution's sports programs, physical education initiatives, and overall wellness strategies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive vision for sports development, ensuring alignment with national and international standards.

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to promote sports infrastructure development, student and staff participation, and athletic talent nurturing.
  • Manage sports facilities, gymnasiums, and grounds, prioritizing proper maintenance and utilization.
  • Identify, recruit, and mentor talented athletes to represent the institution at various levels.
  • Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and faculty to foster a culture of fitness and sportsmanship.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on health, fitness, and sports.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of sports coaches and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote ethical sports practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement sports and physical education policies as per UGC/AIU norms.
  • Liaise with sports councils, federations, and UGC-recognized bodies for collaboration and participation.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ph.D. Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale sports events and teams.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of modern training methods, sports technology, and performance analytics.
