Job Title

We are seeking a Structural Inspection Specialist to join our team.

About the Job

The Structural Inspection Specialist will be responsible for conducting technical inspections and structural evaluations, writing detailed inspection reports, preparing and issuing release notes, handling item dispatch protocols, reading and interpreting ITPs and engineering drawings, and inspection activities on vendor premises.

Responsibilities
  • Techincal Inspections and Evaluations: Conduct thorough technical inspections and structural evaluations of various equipment and systems.
  • Report Writing: Write detailed inspection reports that meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Release Notes: Prepare and issue release notes for inspected items.
  • Item Dispatch: Handle item dispatch protocols to ensure timely delivery of inspected items.
  • Engineering Documents: Read and interpret ITPs and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Vendor Premises: Conduct inspection activities on vendor premises as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering: Possess a diploma or bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 4 Years of Experience in Inspection: Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in inspection, preferably in a structural inspection role.
  • Certified in NDT Level II: Be certified in NDT level II to demonstrate expertise in non-destructive testing.
  • Prior Experience in Structural Inspections: Have prior experience in structural inspections, which is mandatory for this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, and Other Mechanical Standards: Possess a strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, and other mechanical standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to Interpret Engineering Drawings and Technical Documents: Be able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Good Communication, Reporting, and Documentation Skills: Possess good communication, reporting, and documentation skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Report Preparation: Be proficient in MS office and report preparation to create high-quality reports.
