Job Summary

Project Manager for Solar PV Projects

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution of solar PV projects on site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and be able to ensure timely delivery and commissioning of commercial and industrial solar projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules to ensure successful project execution.
  • Prepare method statements for the execution of solar PV projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Coordinate the delivery of materials to site and manage unloading/storage responsibilities with on-site teams.
  • Study Autocad placement drawings and SLDs, and map the drawings to on-site implementations.
  • Coordinate the execution of projects as per the detailed project plan and drive on-site teams to stick to expected timeframes.
  • Manage attendance and daily arrival/departure procedures of labor teams to site.
  • Escalate delays and other site-related challenges with daily/weekly reporting plans as per company policy.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to client-side safety protocols during activities like unloading, shifting, installation, hot works (welding), and other sensitive works.
  • Create delivery challans as and when materials arrive at site and get DC/other inward documentation certified as inward materials.
  • Share certified documentation with accounts/admin/sales teams in head office.
  • Follow up on payments against tax invoices submitted and keep management updated on processing status or delays if any.
Requirements
  • A Diploma or BE (Electrical) graduate with a degree from a reputed university or affiliate.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in site management of solar PV projects preferably up to 1 MW in size.
  • Technically proficient with understanding of electrical networks and solar power project design/execution.
  • Software skills: AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) mandatory.
  • Quantitatively/Number oriented, good communication skills, and calm under pressure.
