
International Student Recruitment Specialist

This is a high-level recruitment role focused on driving international student growth from India.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective regional recruitment strategy to achieve the University's targets.
Key responsibilities include market development, relationship-building, and delivering presentations to prospective students and other stakeholders.
You will also manage enquiries from students and other stakeholders in India, ensuring excellent customer service and timely follow-up on potential student leads.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Higher Education sector with experience in similar roles within the education sector in India.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 5 years of working experience in Higher Education sector (Essential)
- Extensive experience in a similar role within the education sector in India. (Desirable)
- Experience of studying in the UK (Desirable)
- Newcastle University Alumni (Desirable)
- Possess a degree from a UK university, relevant professional qualification and/or substantial experience of delivering educational marketing activities. (Desirable)
- Experience in supporting a UK Higher Education Institution in the development and execution of an India student recruitment strategy (Desirable)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities with minimal supervision. (Essential)
- A high level of English Language proficiency. (Essential)
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders such as students, parents, agents, schools, universities, and other partners. (Essential)
- Up to date knowledge of the UK university application process and issues facing prospective international students and their advisers in relation to university admissions. (Essential)
- A proven understanding of the Indian HE system. (Essential)
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) demonstrating an ability to deal with a wide range of people with varying levels of understanding, with experience and aptitude for developing and delivering engaging presentations to a variety of audiences. (Essential)
- A flexible team player with the ability to support colleagues. (Essential)
- Willingness to extensively travel domestically and to the UK (typically on an annual basis). (Essential)
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment with the ability to represent the University in a professional manner. (Essential)
- A respectful, inclusive approach, with awareness of cultural contexts and sensitivity when working with diverse communities. (Essential)
- Excellent organisational skills, able to plan and prioritise a variety of work activities in a busy environment and meet strict deadlines. (Essential)
- Strong numeracy skills, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail. (Essential)
- Excellent computer skills, with experience and strong knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint and Excel. (Essential)
- Ability to interpret data and use insights to drive recruitment strategy, decision-making, and reporting. (Essential)
