The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining allotments, recording and analyzing guest questionnaires on a monthly basis, ensuring the accuracy of guest history and client profiles in the database, tracking market codes, loading and maintaining rates in the reservation system, and maintaining rates on the website.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage GDS close out/opening-up dates, if applicable
- Ensure all Groups are contracted
- Conduct market research and analysis
- Report on competitor activity
- Participate in preparation of strategic plans for the hotel
- Access and assess sales and marketing data
- Prepare and administer detailed induction program for new staff
- Assist in maintaining a comprehensive, current, and guest-focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversee their implementation through ongoing training
- Regularly communicate with staff and maintain good relations
- Coordinate the preparation of the departmental annual budget
- Control and monitor departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget
- Participate in preparation and planning of sales force goals and objectives
This role requires a strong understanding of the hotel industry and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
