Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to provide technical leadership in networking methodologies and technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of networking technology such as SDWAN, routing, switching and Meraki, and be able to drive technical standards.

This is a key role that involves providing technical expertise to internal teams and driving the implementation of leading edge networking and security solutions.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in an agile development team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in networking methodologies and technologies
  • Be a resource, consultant and technical leader to internal development, operations and support teams
  • Organize, review, write and publish technical documentation
  • Work as part of an agile development team to define, design, develop, test, and implement leading edge networking and security solutions
  • Analyze requirements, design, implement and maintain enterprise monitoring tools and the supporting infrastructure
  • Define, create and maintain processes required to monitor production and development environments to ensure a proactive approach for addressing alerts or problems
  • Contribute to the continuously evolving and improving development processes
  • Meet engineering design and deliverable deadlines with quality and with little or no supervision
  • Will take on flexible shifts to assist team with technology operational duties
  • Provide clear, concise and timely feedback to management
  • Will troubleshoot and support software application
  • Work as an on-call engineer outside of shift timings

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required. A strong understanding of networking technology such as SDWAN, routing, switching and Meraki is also necessary.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong experience in CISCO Network support – Troubleshooting and projects
  • Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP or similar
