Database Tester Position

We are seeking an experienced Database Tester to join our QA team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse business requirements and design test cases focused on database validation.
  • Write, execute, and optimise complex SQL queries to validate data integrity and workflows.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Perform backend testing to ensure proper integration of applications with underlying databases.
  • Identify, log, and track issues using test management tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Prepare detailed test documentation including test cases, execution results, and defect reports.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of database testing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong focus on database testing.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including writing and optimising queries, joins, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Strong experience in data validation and reconciliation across multiple systems.
  • Mid-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation, reporting).
  • Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to handle client interactions independently.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
