Key Account Manager Job Description

We are seeking a Key Account Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for building, retaining, and growing key IT services and staffing accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of client goals and objectives and the ability to translate these into delivery plans that meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing key accounts through farming and selective hunting strategies
  • Developing and implementing delivery plans that meet client expectations
  • Negotiating Statements of Work (SOWs)/Master Service Agreements (MSAs), managing invoicing and collections
  • Maintaining a network of candidates aligned with client demand
  • Tracking account health, pipeline, and forecasts, identifying risks and driving resolutions

Required qualifications include:

  • 1-5 years of experience in Client Relationship/Account Management or Business Development in IT Services/Consulting or IT Staffing
  • Proven track record of revenue growth and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Contract management, negotiation, and billing/invoicing experience
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Vendor Management Systems (VMS)
  • Prior recruitment operations experience, including ATS and submittal quality management
