Accounts Payable Specialist Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage and maintain our accounts payable function. This key role will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Functions: Process high volumes of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments accurately and in compliance with U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor onboarding, updates, and issue resolution ensuring seamless communication and relationships.
  • Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
  • Closing Activities: Support month-end close, accruals, and reporting activities ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for invoice coding and approvals.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably with U.S.-based accounting exposure.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the U.S. real estate sector is highly valued.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; Yardi experience preferred.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations related to AP.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Communication: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under deadlines.
