Data Analysis and Development

We are seeking a skilled data analyst developer to join our Finance Analytics team. The team is responsible for developing advanced predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to drive business value.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting data analysis initiatives and be proficient in utilizing various tools, strategies, algorithms, and programming languages to deliver high-quality data-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining production forecast modeling pipelines, including model monitoring and refitting models as needed
  • Collaborating with business partners to understand requirements, design, and build effective solutions for complex business problems
  • Integrating data from multiple sources and building robust, cross-functional data assets to support analytics
  • Assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of data and data gathering techniques, determining materiality of data issues, and recommending a path forward
  • Performing multivariate and exploratory data analysis and communicating key findings to colleagues and business partners
  • Utilizing statistics and machine learning to build predictive models and tools supporting business initiatives
  • Working closely with the team to perform complex analytics and data preparation tasks, including feature engineering and brainstorming potential data sources
  • Communicating and presenting findings, including visualizations, to business partners to ensure successful integration of projects into business processes
  • Providing training guidance and assistance to colleagues
  • Analyzing data, drawing meaningful conclusions, and assisting in developing solutions to drive profitability and growth

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Python programming language
  • Familiarity with time series modeling
  • At least 2 years of data science-related experience
  • Excellent data analysis and advanced data manipulation techniques using SQL
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to articulate an understanding of work products
  • Experience with predictive modeling and working with data scientists a plus
  • Data visualization tool experience a plus
  • Business experience and knowledge of P&C industry a plus
  • Experience with cloud-based technology a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of relational databases
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing stakeholder requirements
  • Quick learner, able to prioritize activities, and responsive to business needs
  • Ability to communicate and present complex technical concepts to specialist and non-specialist audiences
