The position is needed to support Supply Chain Management applications as part of establishing an application management function within Digital for T&O.
The position requires designing, analyzing and implementing efficient IT systems, overseeing system upgrades, and providing 2nd line support. Vendor management, identifying problems and opportunities within Hempel and providing Digital solutions in line with overall Hempel strategy and Enterprise Architecture guidelines are also key responsibilities.
Key tasks include communicating with stakeholders to understand their issues and requirements, developing and analyzing functional specifications, coordinating with developers to build and implement technology solutions, and facilitating and handing over user acceptance test of deliveries.
A key success criteria is to develop and select the best, most efficient and robust Digital solutions and integrations which can be used by other teams/projects. Stakeholder satisfaction with deliveries, high project/agile team engagement, work relations with Commercial, Digital, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Master Data and 3rd parties are also important.
Required education, experience and job-related skills include an academic background within the field of Information Technology, at least 2-5 years experience as an IT Consultant, IT Analyst or IT Programmer or similar role, good understanding of software architecture, design principles and integrations patterns, knowledge of databases, system security and troubleshooting.
Some programming experience with strong knowledge of SQL (MS SQL) and a good understanding of SOAP/Postman for webservices, XML and Java Script is also required. Experience with supply chain management applications would be an advantage. Good understanding of business processes, experience working with ITIL, ServiceNow (or similar tool) and continual improvement, experience with agile methodologies and experience with Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing are also required.
A CSI mindset and experience working in an international environment with teams and stakeholders in multiple locations and time zones are also needed. Fluency in English, verbal and in writing, is also required.
