About the role



Lead Financial Services Payments at Amazon Pay

As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Financial Services Payments category at Amazon Pay, driving growth and customer experience. This role requires a strong understanding of the financial services industry, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to develop and execute business strategies.

Main Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth and customer experience in the Financial Services Payments category
  • Lead cross-functional teams to launch new products and features, manage partner relationships, and optimize category performance
  • Manage the partner ecosystem, including large billers, financial services partners, and other stakeholders to bring in relevant selection, negotiate margins, and execute large-scale joint partnership initiatives
  • Define and continuously improve the end-to-end customer experience by collaborating with internal stakeholders like marketing, product, tech, operations, and billers
  • Play a pivotal role in defining the product roadmap for the business by co-owning this charter with Product and tech leaders
  • Own the category P&L, continuously exploring opportunities for improvement by working with Finance/rewards functions and drive projects/initiatives for efficiencies for the business
  • As a process owner, reduce/optimize category manual processes which do not add value to customers
  • Deep dive on weekly/monthly business reviews to arrive at gaps and improvement opportunities

Bill Payments and Financial Services (BP-FSP) is the largest high-frequency category within Amazon Pay, where customers can conveniently make their everyday payments and avail exciting rewards. Basic Qualifications


  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience developing, leading, negotiating, and executing corporate and/or business transactions


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
  • Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
