Cost Estimator

About the Role:

Our organization is seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to contribute to our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately predicting and preparing detailed cost estimates / BOQs for various construction projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents provided by clients and consultants.
  • Identifying project requirements, including materials, equipment, labor, and other resources necessary for project cost.
  • Ensuring all cost estimates align with industry standards to maintain compliance and quality.
  • Utilizing measurement methods to accurately assess quantities.
  • Proficiency in working with software such as AutoCAD and MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with cost estimation software(e.g., CostX) is an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of proven experience in cost estimation, out of that a minimum of 2 years of technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy.
  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Good technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
  • Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute.
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible.
