Import Executive Job Description

Job Title: Import Executive

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the importation of goods, managing relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

The key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Managing the import process from start to finish, including negotiating prices and terms with suppliers.
  • Coordinating with freight forwarders to arrange transportation and customs clearance.
  • Ensuring that all imports comply with relevant regulations, including HS codes, tariffs, and taxes.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports, including import data and compliance documents.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, such as logistics, finance, and procurement, to ensure alignment and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • Extensive experience in import management, preferably with a reputable company.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
