Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Measurement Systems Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining measurement systems, locator strategies, and tolerance specifications for Body in White components and exterior trims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement measurement strategies for Body in White components and exterior trims, ensuring alignment with styling and manufacturing requirements.
  • Analyze functional requirements of Body in White and create measurement plans for the fitment of modules.
  • Discuss and align tolerance concepts with stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Perform tolerance stack up studies (1D, 2D, or 3D) during development phases to identify potential production risks and provide solutions through measurement strategies, alignment strategies, tolerance specifications, assembly sequences, or design modifications.
  • Conduct tolerance simulations in 3DCS to replicate the production process digitally, utilizing correct probability distributions related to manufacturing processes, and validate concept robustness.
Qualification Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of 3D tolerance simulation tools, preferably 3DCS.
  • In-depth knowledge of GD&T and SPC principles.
  • Understanding of perceived quality and its impact on product performance.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes in Body in White.
  • Proficiency in NX software.
