Job Summary

The role of Finance Automation Specialist is to support the lead in tracking finance automation project implementation, maintenance, documentation, and connecting with the IT team to deliver timely solutions as per business requirements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Assist the lead: Provide support and backup to the lead in their absence.
    • Participate in team meetings and discussions: Contribute to team decision-making and knowledge sharing.
  • SAP Finance Module Management:
    • Implement and configure SAP Finance modules: Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Treasury, and other related modules.
    • Ensure uniformity and consistency in SAP operations across entities and geographies through SAP-driven controls.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Finance issues: Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to resolve system issues.
    • Develop and maintain SAP Finance documentation: Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of SAP Finance configurations and processes.
    • Coordinate user trainings.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization:
    • Analyse and optimize financial processes: Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and cost savings.
    • Develop and implement process improvements: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement process changes.
    • Monitor and evaluate process effectiveness: Continuously assess and refine financial processes.
    • Identify and mitigate process risks: Collaborate with internal audit and risk management teams to identify and mitigate process risks.
  • System Integration and Interface Management:
    • Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules such as BPC and third-party tools like Blackline, Cimmra, Provision portal etc.
    • Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders: Ensure system integration, data consistency, and interoperability.
    • Develop and maintain interface documentation: Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of interface configurations and processes.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards.
    • Analyse and interpret financial data to provide better automation solutions by understanding key data fields.
    • Identify and address financial reporting issues: Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve financial reporting technical issues.
