The Finance Department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts Intern to join their team. This exciting opportunity will provide hands-on experience in accounting procedures, financial systems, and day-to-day operations of an accounting department.

About the Role
  • This is a 3-month full-time internship with the possibility of extension.
  • You will be responsible for supporting the accounting team in various tasks related to financial recordkeeping, reporting, and analysis.
  • As an Accounts Intern, you will gain practical experience in accounting processes and financial reporting, develop an understanding of the day-to-day operations of an accounting department, learn how to use accounting software effectively, and enhance your skills in data analysis, financial documentation, and compliance.
Responsibilities
  1. Financial Recordkeeping: Assist with the entry of financial transactions into the accounting system, support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records for accounts payable and receivable, and help reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial documentation.
  2. Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements, help analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement, and prepare supporting documentation for audits and financial reviews.
  3. Transaction Processing: Assist with processing invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders, support the management of petty cash and ensure proper documentation for expenditures, and assist in the preparation and processing of payroll transactions.
  4. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounts team, including filing, scanning, and data entry, and assist in organizing and maintaining financial records and documents in accordance with company policies.
  5. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations, help in the preparation of documentation for compliance audits and internal reviews, and participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the accounting supervisor or manager.
Requirements
  • Candidates should have a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements are essential.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is a plus.
  • Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective verbal and written communication skills are also required.
