Database Architecture Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional with expertise in designing and developing scalable database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL programming, data modeling, and database architecture, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient database designs that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to translate data requirements into robust database solutions.
  • Perform data modeling and create ER diagrams to visualize complex database relationships.
  • Optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques to improve database speed and efficiency.
  • Monitor database performance metrics and proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity through implementation of best practices and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes for system-to-system data integration.
  • Implement data warehousing solutions for reporting and analytics purposes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices to ensure high-quality database development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6–7 years of proven experience as a Database Developer (MySQL & MS SQL).
  • Expert-level SQL programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL) skills.
  • Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and normalization principles.
  • Experience with performance tuning and large-scale database optimization.
  • Proficiency in administration tasks (backup, recovery, security, replication).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data integration.
  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
