System administrators are sought after for a challenging role focusing on Mainframe Performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify complex problems and predict potential future issues across various platforms and services.
  • Manage client data for systems and provide day-to-day solutions and security compliance.
  • Oversee assignment queues and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tasks to deliver optimal solutions to clients.
About the Role
  • This is an advanced position requiring strong analytical and documentation skills, as well as excellent communication and technical abilities.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with performance tuning of systems, practicing capacity planning activity during system upgrades, and proactively managing capacity planning on a regular basis.
Requirements
  • 4 years of experience in performance tuning of systems, practicing capacity planning activity during system upgrades, and proactively managing capacity planning on a regular basis.
  • A clear understanding of SMF and analyzing insights from SMF data processing.
  • Experience with Workload Load Manager (WLM), Parallel Sysplex configurations, multiple LPAR environments, and capacity performance reporting and modeling.
  • Strong understanding of mainframe components covering areas of ZOS, JES, CICS, DB2, and IMS.
Preferred Requirements
  • Hands-on experiences with navigation, debugging, and monitoring tools such as RMF I, II, III, or Omegamon or TMON or BMC Mainview.
  • Hands-on experiences with vendor products like MXG, CA-MICS, Omegamon, Strobe, APA.
  • Hands-on experiences with TDS and QMF for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experiences with CP3000, zPCR, and zTPM are added advantages.
