Legal and Compliance Manager

The Legal and Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our company's legal interests and maintaining compliance standards.

This position focuses on reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies, and supporting a wide range of legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including supplier agreements, vendor contracts, client agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
  • Ensure contracts comply with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Develop and implement standard contract templates and processes.
  • Collaborate with business teams to advise on day-to-day issues and concerns related to client agreements.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory and legal requirements across various jurisdictions.
  • Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Support the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and training materials.
  • Provide advice and recommendations on legal risks and compliance matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist senior legal counsel and the legal team in preparing legal opinions and reports.
  • Assist in corporate governance matters, including board meeting minutes and regulatory filings.
  • Support the legal team with dispute resolution, litigation, and other legal matters as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases of contracts and compliance documents.

Requirements:

  • LLB or equivalent degree.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house experience.
  • Proficiency in email and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth understanding of contract laws and commercial agreements.
