
Strategic Account Development Professional

We are seeking a strategic account development professional to cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with key payers and providers, anticipating access barriers and identifying mutually beneficial partnership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive situation analyses of key accounts, considering all relevant factors.
- Highlight the cross-functional implications of anticipated changes in the payer/provider environment to inform business strategy.
- Establish trusted and strategic relationships with payers/providers to anticipate access barriers and better align with their agendas, plans, and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for collaborative partnerships with key accounts to positively influence contracting and tendering outcomes for product access.
- Develop tailored engagement strategies and concise plans specific to accounts, with clear objectives and activities to optimize product usage, funding, and access, considering long-term portfolio goals.
- Negotiate, close, and finalize deals, or support/lead the contracting and tendering process, facilitating the development and delivery of proposals to meet profit targets.
- Regularly track the execution and impact of activities and performance of key accounts to continuously improve bottom-line results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant experience with a demonstrated track record of success in sales or consultative selling roles within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to translate business strategies into actionable and realistic account engagement plans.
- Leadership skills to motivate and coordinate cross-functional teams, including in-field personnel.
- Effective negotiation and closing skills to secure Contracting & Tendering (C&T) deals with key accounts and complex customer networks.
- Solid analytical, business planning, and financial acumen skills, as well as a solid understanding of pharmacoeconomic principles.
- Knowledge of payer/provider mindset and motivation in the relevant local context.
- Understanding of payer/provider decision-making processes and key stakeholders/influencers.
- English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries).
- Demonstrated track record of success on specific key account (payer/provider) experience strategically and long term, as well as tactically within the relevant local context.
- Leadership experience within a specific key account, preferably as part of the decision-making process in C&T situations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent.
