Our portfolio includes wind, solar, and hybrid energy solutions with a total capacity of over 10,000 MWp spread across four states.

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee land acquisition for wind projects creating a pipeline for the organization.

This role is critical in ensuring seamless project implementation and meeting objectives.

  • Support project development activities collaborating with departments for land acquisition and related tasks.
  • Identify suitable developers/aggregators for wind energy projects focusing on key states.
  • Maintain adherence to statutes and regulations regarding land forests and approvals.
  • Risk assess land acquisition and recommend mitigation plans.
  • Lead legal due diligence documentation and ensure clear marketable title before acquisition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for land acquisition including procurement engineering project management legal and finance.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination to meet project timelines.
  • Handle interactions with local agencies and stakeholders for smooth acquisition and usage of lands until commissioning.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to land acquisition and usage across pan-India locations.
  • Develop project plans coordinating with stakeholders for successful implementation.

Requirements:
  • Significant experience in land acquisition for wind/solar projects with hands-on experience in Revenue/Private/Forest Land acquisitions.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in land procurement/acquisition for Wind and/or solar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective communication with team members cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of government policies permits and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects and land acquisition.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to forests and land.
  • Familiarity with land acquisition processes including procurement leasing easement etc. for renewable power projects.
  • Ability to conduct preliminary due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.
  • Proficiency in identifying suitable developers/aggregators for renewable energy projects.
  • Proven ability to secure lands within targeted timelines.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to execute land procurement targets and project development activities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges in land acquisition and project development.
  • Commitment to safety quality and sustainability principles.
