Portfolio Management and Reporting Role

Job Description:

This position involves managing the portfolio details of various private equity funds, including updating pre-defined investor specific quarterly bespoke reporting templates. Additionally, it entails analyzing PE Funds performance by reviewing fund cash flows and quarterly/financial reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for calculating fund valuation data such as investment cost, realized/unrealized value, gross/net multiple, gross/net IRR, and financial KPIs like revenue, EBITDA, net debt, valuation/leverage multiples etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and manage portfolio details of various private equity funds.
  • Update pre-defined investor specific quarterly bespoke reporting templates.
  • Analyze PE Funds performance by going through fund cash flows and quarterly/financial reports.
  • Calculate fund valuation data such as investment cost, realized/unrealized value, gross/net multiple, gross/net IRR, and financial KPIs like revenue, EBITDA, net debt, valuation/leverage multiples etc.
  • Track the performance of operational KPIs and operational updates on a quarterly basis.
  • Create/update fund track record and reconcile the data using cash flow notices.
  • Calculate fund multiples and IRRs using cash flows and perform various fund analytics like attribution and value creation analysis.
  • Reconcile portfolio level operational data including geographical presence, headquarter and portfolio leverage.
  • Coordinate with different teams to get right information on time and communicate constantly with clients on the status of tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate or relevant certifications like CFA, CA, MBA, CCRA, CIIA or CAIA.
  • 1-10 years of experience in relevant financial services experience including Management Reporting or Operational Finance, preferably with some research experience.
  • Experience with Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Access is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work hands-on, delving into projects with strong attention to detail and emphasis on producing high-quality work products.
  • Experience working independently, proactively identifying ways to enhance processes, procedures or outcomes that benefit the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize large and varied workload, managing multiple tasks and details simultaneously.
  • Ability to show initiative, willingness to learn and take on responsibilities as contributing team member either in a lead or backup role to ensure team success.
  • Should be solutions-focused and able to work in unstructured environments under minimum or no supervision. Willingness to acknowledge what is not understood and seek assistance.
  • Knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
