Job Summary

The Portfolio Analytics team at Bread Financial is responsible to provide custom insights and reporting support to our partners (client partnership and marketing, field engagement team, brand partners) across the business. The Portfolio Analytics Analyst, 2 of Portfolio Analytics team provides data driven insights while also providing guidance to our partners through understanding of retail, marketing, credit profitability and the interaction of customers/retailers/card issuers. 

Essential Job Functions 

Create and Design - Designs, creates, evaluates, optimizes, and delivers quantitative and qualitative offerings in relation to the attributes and behaviors of the end customer. (Including, but not limited to, custom demographic, geographic, financial and lifestyle profiles; transactional, shopping and interaction activities; behavior hypothesis testing, data mining and customized reporting/analysis.) Participates in strategic projects to identify enhancements to the Portfolio Analytics processes and offerings that have a positive impact on Bread Financial's ability to deliver relevant marketing and create enduring loyalty.  Applies knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams to execute daily work 

Review and Evaluate - Extracts data from a variety of customized sources, with a number of tools. A quantitative background is necessary to effectively navigate and pull logical meaning around the data. Understands how to find/extract the needed data (Design), structure the output (Create), understand what it means and implies (Evaluate), turn the data into information (Optimize)  and provide the results/recommendations (Deliver) directly to internal partners (Client Sales, Marketing, Operations) and 3rd Parties (Brand Partners, Vendors, Sister Companies) to directly impact business decisions.  

Reports to: Manager or above 

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements: Normal office environment

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information systems, economics, finance, marketing, business or related field of study.
• 2+ years of experience analyzing marketing performance, driving marketing and business decisions through data extracts, queries and actionable insights. 
• Experience with Data Mining Tools (SQL, SAS) and business analysis. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information systems, economics, finance, marketing, business or related field of study.
