Job Title: High Voltage Power Electronics Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Voltage Power Electronics Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for leading the development of high-voltage power electronics systems, including DC-DC converters, onboard chargers, inverters, and battery management interfaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop System Architecture: Define system architecture and component specifications for high-voltage (400V–800V) battery systems.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with mechanical, thermal, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Lead Simulation and Modelling: Oversee simulation, modelling, and analysis of power electronics circuits using tools like PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, or LTspice.
  • Ensure EMI/EMC Compliance: Guide PCB layout for high-power designs ensuring EMI/EMC compliance and thermal management.
  • Validate Prototypes: Drive validation and testing of prototypes in lab and vehicle environments.
  • Evaluate Components: Evaluate and select components such as IGBTs, SiC/GaN FETs, gate drivers, magnetics, and capacitors.
  • Mentor Junior Engineers: Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical reviews and design documentation.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3+ Years in HV Systems engineering, Battery management System design, lead position.
  • Expertise: Expertise regarding vehicle system interfaces and integration for distributed features onboard (offboard an advantage).
  • Knowledge: Good understanding of high-voltage systems, safety protocols, and thermal management.
  • Skillset: Strong understanding of engineering tools FMEA, DFM, DFA, Six Sigma, problem resolution etc.
  • Degree: Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent discipline or equivalent experience.
