To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in English, Media/Journalism, or a related field.
  • At least 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or a similar role.
  • Excellent command of the English language and an understanding of American culture.
  • The ability to analyze article performance metrics and use insights to improve content quality.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles, including crafting engaging headings and subheadings.
  • Leadership skills to mentor and guide a team of writers.
  • A genuine interest in sports, with a desire to cover breaking news, live events, and in-depth analyses.

As a Sports Content Editor at our organization, you will work closely with our experienced team to produce top-notch content that resonates with readers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Editing and publishing 18-20 articles daily, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Fact-checking, researching, and refining articles to deliver value to our audience.
  • Collaborating with writers, editors, and content managers to refine and elevate content quality.
  • Mentoring writers to help them grow and evolve as contributors.
  • Staying up-to-date with breaking news and ensuring our readers receive timely information.
  • Working six days a week to meet the needs of our US audience.
