About this Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an Estimation Engineer to join our organization. As an Estimation Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for high-rise EPC projects.

Key responsibilities of the role include analyzing structural drawings, extracting quantities, and developing bar bending schedules (BBS) in coordination with seniors and site teams.

You will also evaluate vendor quotations, assist in cost comparison and negotiations, and liaise with procurement teams to collect vendor/supplier quotations for costing inputs.

In addition, you will prepare and evaluate cost comparison sheets, cost-benefit analyses, and coordinate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure alignment of estimates with project goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for Turnkey/EPC/PPP projects
  • Analyze structural drawings to extract quantities and prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
  • Develop and review Bar Bending Schedules (BBS)
  • Evaluate vendor quotations and assist in cost comparison and negotiations
  • Liaise with procurement to collect vendor/supplier quotations for costing inputs
  • Prepare and evaluate cost comparison sheets, cost-benefit analyses
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams to ensure alignment of estimates with project goals
  • Monitor project budgets and update cost forecasts based on design or scope changes
  • Conduct rate analysis for civil, finishing, and MEP works based on current market rates
  • Track and update construction cost databases with recent rates and inflation-adjusted pricing
  • Collaborate with the design, execution, and finance teams to align costs with project budgets
  • Maintain a database of cost elements and historical data for future reference
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to manage potential cost variances

Qualifications:

B.E. in Civil Engineering with around 3-4 years of experience in estimation for high-rise EPC projects.

Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and market rates.

Hands-on experience with estimation and MS Excel.
