Research and Development Leadership Role:

The Director of Innovation will spearhead the Research and Development function with a strong emphasis on strategic product development, technical innovation, and operational excellence. This key role is accountable for overseeing R&D operations, aligning research initiatives with business objectives, and driving product development to meet organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an R&D strategy that aligns with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize research projects and innovation initiatives.
  • Prepare and present business cases for new product innovations and improvements.

R&D Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the R&D team to achieve high performance.
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, including formulation improvements, prototyping, testing, and launch readiness.
  • Monitor R&D budgets, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Ensure intellectual property (IP) strategy aligns with research outputs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with production, quality assurance, procurement, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product flow and market fit.
  • Translate R&D outcomes into commercially viable offerings through effective market analysis and customer feedback integration.
  • Facilitate technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring efficient knowledge sharing.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Stay updated on scientific, technological, and market trends to drive innovation and competitiveness.
  • Ensure documentation, certification, and audit-readiness of R&D processes to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Guarantee all R&D activities adhere to relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
