Culinary Team Member Opportunity

Job Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished Culinary Team Member to oversee and manage all aspects of food production. As a key position in the culinary team, you will be responsible for directing and coaching direct reports to ensure exceptional quality and consistency in taste.

Maintaining thorough knowledge of company recipes and ensuring their execution according to corporate standards is also crucial. You will coordinate and supervise team members, assigning tasks and evaluating work procedures to meet quality standards.

Additionally, you will be responsible for cost containment through proper use and maintenance of records, supplies, and equipment. Monitoring workstation functions, assigning duties, and evaluating staff to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards is also an essential part of this role.

Financial Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will identify potential expense reductions through cost control. They will analyze operational problems and establish controls. Reviews of timesheets will be conducted, and they will forward them to the Executive Chef for approval. Ensuring items are requisitioned in correct quantities within acceptable timeframes is also a critical responsibility.

Motivational Responsibilities:

This role includes making recommendations regarding personnel actions to ensure adequate staffing. Inspections of workstations, work areas, equipment, etc., to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards will be carried out.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have excellent food knowledge and understanding of culinary terms. Ability to read, understand, follow, and prepare company recipes is essential. Proficient in completing tasks, working efficiently and productively, with the ability to work in any section of a kitchen and maintain Public Health standards.
