Cloud Architect Position Overview

The role of a Cloud Architect is to design and guide customers on their SAP landscape, utilizing the latest technologies offered by SAP RISE Platform. This includes planning, designing, and implementing customer landscapes on SAP RISE, as well as collaborating closely with the SAP presales team to understand customer requirements.

  • This position requires the ability to analyze customer landscapes, identify technical accuracy issues, and provide feedback to the sales team on Bill Of Material to confirm selected product and version availability.
  • The chosen candidate will work closely with the sales team to size the to-be landscape for migrations, prepare technical assessments, conduct workshops with customers, and perform other key responsibilities outlined below.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Bill Of Material Review & Analysis: Review technical accuracy of Bill Of Material to validate that no obsolete version product is selected to build on SAP RISE platform.
  • Technical Validation of Customer Landscape: Analyze Early Watch Reports & Technical Data to validate hardware selection/sizing.
  • Work Closely with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team on architecture, landscape, and to-be sizing.
  • Customer Deal Support – Pre-Signature: Prepare technical assessments to discuss with customers and explain about their to-be landscape.
  • Customer Deal Support – Post Signature: Answer questions of customers relating to delivery, provide turnover to delivery of key items during sales cycle, and answer questions specific to delivery.

As a Cloud Architect, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to all latest build architectures in one single place/position, which will be valuable/useful in future.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years (CAA Role) - RE experience: SAP Basis, SAP HANA, S/4 HANA skills, migration/upgrades, and experience on Any Cloud (AWS, MS Azure, GCP)
  • Good communication skill, who can articulate, experience in customer-facing roles
