Accountant Position

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our organization.

  • The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory guidelines (SEBI, Exchanges), including finalization of accounts and GST filling. They will also have hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP, or broker-specific back-office software).
  • A degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting is required, preferably with a CA certification. At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a stock broking / financial services company, is also necessary.

To be successful as an Accountant, you will need:

  • Attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic data analysis.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the broking industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handle daily accounting entries, including journal vouchers, payment/receipt entries, and reconciliations.
  2. Prepare and maintain books of accounts as per accounting standards and company policies.
  3. Reconcile client ledgers, broker accounts, bank statements, and depository records (NSDL/CDSL).
  4. Assist in preparation of financial statements, P&L, and balance sheet.
  5. Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances relevant to the broking industry.
  6. Support in audits (statutory, internal, and regulatory audits by SEBI/Exchanges).
  7. Coordinate with operations and compliance teams for accounting-related queries.
  8. Maintain proper documentation and records for reporting and audit purposes.

Requirements:

  1. CA intern / CA / Graduate / Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  2. 2+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a stock broking / financial services company).
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory guidelines (SEBI, Exchanges), finalization of accounts GST filling etc.
