Business Operations Director Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the end-to-end operations of our apparel manufacturing business. This role provides strategic leadership in production, supply chain, quality, sustainability, and workforce management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership
    • Lead daily factory operations, ensuring delivery targets, efficiency, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Production Management
    • Monitor production lines to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
    • Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Planning & Coordination
    • Oversee production planning and material flow to meet customer order timelines.
    • Coordinate closely with merchandising, sourcing, and logistics teams for smooth execution.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Implement and monitor strict quality control measures across all production stages.
    • Ensure compliance with international certifications (ISO, WRAP, OEKO-TEX, BSCI, etc.).
  • Cost & Efficiency Control
    • Drive cost reduction through waste minimization and process optimization.
    • Prepare and manage operational budgets for the manufacturing function.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in apparel manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end apparel production processes (knits, woven, fabric, finishing).
  • Proven track record in lean manufacturing, supply chain optimization, and operational excellence.
