Financial Reporting Specialist

About the Role:

The Financial Reporting Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, maintaining the integrity of our financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to record all business transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly, minimizing errors and maximizing productivity.
  • Closing Activities: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities with precision, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules meticulously, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Internal & External Audits: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation in a timely manner, facilitating smooth audit processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management effectively, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, fostering a culture of transparency and cooperation.
  • Process Improvements: Assist in the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is mandatory.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is essential.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines is necessary.
