Equity Researcher Role

As an Equity Researcher, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data and making recommendations to clients.

Your key responsibilities may include:

  • Building and updating complex financial models to analyze investment opportunities
  • Developing accurate assumptions and valuation methods using various techniques such as DCF, relative, SOTP, and others
  • Screening large datasets to identify investment ideas and assisting Portfolio Managers/Chief Investment Officers in their investment decisions
  • Discussing investment ideas and stock updates with Portfolio Managers/Chief Investment Officers
  • Preparing earnings reviews, previews, attending conference calls, and management meetings
  • Creating and updating databases
  • Collecting and analyzing news

You will also be expected to maintain constant communication with the client and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have excellent financial modeling and research report-writing/presentation-making skills. You should be able to think through drivers and KPIs across a broad range of sectors and have good client relationship management skills and communication skills.

Additionally, you should have an eye for detail and be able to handle multiple workflows with tight deadlines. Numerical abilities and writing skills are also essential, as is the ability to write in a logical and structured manner that requires minimal rework.

Proficiency in using technologies such as Python, SQL, Power BI, etc. would be advantageous.
