Job Overview:

PD to Production Merchandiser Role
  • We are seeking a skilled PD to Production Merchandiser to join our team.

About the Job:

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage product development from material sourcing to supplier negotiations and timely production as per design requirements.
  • Ensure alignment of raw materials, job workers, and internal/external production teams for timely delivery of production.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors on costing to achieve best pricing without compromising quality and timelines.
Product Development Focus:
  • Develop, evaluate, and present pre-development samples that meet company standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance in terms of fit, construction, and durability.
  • Coordinate with the design and development teams to understand product specifications, materials, and production requirements.
Production Planning Expertise:
  • Develop and manage production timelines and schedules for timely delivery of retail products.
  • Cordinate with design and development teams to ensure product specifications, materials, and production requirements are met.
Sourcing, Dispatch, and Payments Coordination:
  • Making bill of material for bulk orders and production runs ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Sourcing, developing, and ensuring availability of raw materials, trims, accessories, and job workers.
  • Managing all kinds of dispatches, coordination with courier partners, invoices, and payments across all vendors.
Supplier and Vendor Relationship Management:
  • Identify and work with reliable suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and production services.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality production.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues related to product quality, delivery, or compliance.
Quality Control Assurance:
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and oversee testing of materials and finished products to identify and resolve quality issues.
Reporting and Coordination:
  • High level of coordination and collaboration with various teams (Design, production, procurement, category).
  • Maintain daily detailed logs and updates for fabric, trims, accessories development and procurement, sampling and production status, TNA update, and job work sample and production development status.
  • Keep track of raw material consumption as per BOM and update everything in ERP software.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of experience in product development, buying, merchandising, and production.
  • Excellent knowledge of fabrics, trims, and accessories and the factory supplier base.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
