Product Launch Management Leader

The Product Launch Management (PLM) leader will oversee all aspects of product launches, ensuring timely and successful execution.

This role will support new product development project management and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive launch excellence.

The PLM leader will lead cross-functional planning, including resource allocation, material planning, financial assessments, and capacity planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Partnering with regional leaders and key functions to ensure timely adherence to product launch milestones.
  2. Driving excellence in launch management to achieve successful execution.
  3. Collaborating with regional heads to deliver accurate data on product launch timelines and replenishment plans.
  4. Leading cross-functional planning, including resource allocation, material planning, financial assessments, and capacity planning.
  5. Providing inputs for portfolio decisions, identifying dependencies and implications.
  6. Implementing best practices in product launch management, using dashboards, templates, and tools for efficient planning and execution.
  7. Facilitating alignment and accountability within regional and corporate functions to meet company goals.
  8. Managing product launch calendars, optimizing governance processes, and partnering with senior management as needed.
  9. Ensuring effective communication of launch status across the organization.
  10. Developing and maintaining integrated product launch plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  11. Building strong relationships with stakeholders within and outside the company.
  12. Fostering talent through coaching, performance management, and setting clear expectations.
  13. Overseeing a team of planners and launch managers.
  14. Having a strong understanding of oncology/specialty products in Europe and emerging markets.
  15. Providing insights on customer preferences and product potential in the European market.
  16. Assessing go-to-market strategies and supporting local teams in customer profiling, target setting, and channel planning.
  17. Managing the end-to-end commercial aspects of new product launches, from demand generation to supply planning.
  18. Possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
  • Project management certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 20+ years in planning, product launch management, or a related role in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Deep knowledge of planning, product development, regulatory processes, and launch management.
  • Familiarity with pre-clinical, clinical, CMC, quality, regulatory, and commercial functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled at driving decisions and solving issues within an organization.
